Weekend in New York City

I’ve been lucky enough to spend the weekend up in New York City. I have a conference in Armonk, NY on Monday and Tuesday so they flew us up on Friday to spend some time in the city beforehand. It’s been a lot of fun so far! Despite living pretty close to NYC and Caitlin being from Albany, this is the first time I’ve actually been to the city. I’m¬†pleasantly¬†surprised with what I’ve seen so far!

The public transportation is awesome and really easy to figure out. It’s only been like 2 days and I already have a decent idea of how everything works. The streets are all named intelligently and the traffic isn’t too bad for walking.

We made it to some of the typical sight-seeing places such as the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Met, Wall Street, WTC, Time Square, Canal St., etc. It’s been pretty awesome! the buildings are sooo huge. I’ve been really surprised at how international this city is. Just walking the streets it seems like everybody is speaking a different language or has an ancient. It’s a very diverse place for sure..

More to come later!
