Utah Day 3 (Brighton)
Today we headed up Big Cottonwood canyon to ski at Brighton. Brighton is a crazy resort with one-of-a-kind terrain and few crowds. It’s a favorite for many of the SLC locals and I don’t think too many tourists know to go there. We skied all day and never waited in a single lift line.
The conditions started out good. It was perfectly sunny without a cloud in the sky when we arrived. As the day progressed it started to get more and more cloudy as a storm rolled in. Good thing we got some sick photos early in the day!! The powder was a bit heavy due to the warm weather and we spent an hour or two in the morning making first tracks on the groomers. Hahaha. It was really fun though, trust me.
After lunch we found some incredible snow in the trees off a green circle run. We spent a few hours skiing in the woods and hitting some of the crazy terrain in there.
Tonight we are getting another 10″ of fresh pow and we plan to head back to Brighton for some AM skiing. Our flight leaves at 5pm so we can’t stay all day! Welp, the snow has started so it’s time for some sleep!
