Flight Control Game for iPhone

My co-workers and I have become quite obsessed with a certain iPhone application recently. So much to the point where I think it deserves it’s own blog post! The game is called “Flight Control” [iTunes link] and for 99 cents, it’s sure to keep you entertained for hours. I don’t have very many games on my iPhone and I rarely find myself playing them. (I’m more likely to read Tweetie or blogs online than to play games in my free “phone time”.) Since everyone has been hyping this game for a few weeks I decided it was worth the small investment.

The game is quite simple and within a few minutes you’ll have it figured out. Basically, you are trying to land planes onto their respective runways. There are three different types of planes: jet planes, prop planes, and helicopters. The challenge is to manage all of the incoming planes and land as many as you can without causing a collision. Once the planes collide, it’s Game Over.

I’ve been playing for a few days now and have only managed to land 62 planes (2nd Airfield). One of my buddies has managed to land 197 on the same airfield!!! Crazy. I highly recommend buying the game. It’s worth every penny.
