Hey Andrew,

Thanks for the comment and for the clarification on the In-Network calling pricing. I wasn't exactly sure how pricing worked with Google Voice. However, I'm still not sure it solves the In-Network calling problem for cell phones. Unless the Google Voice number is somehow "in" the AT&T network, I would still expect any calls made to Google to cost me. I can understand how this would be free from a normal phone since I presume Google will be a 1-800 number. However, even calling 1-800 "toll free" numbers from my cell phone costs me minutes. I hope somebody is able to clarify this issue soon!

Thanks again for reading,

Great review! Your tech posts are concise and thorough. I don't think Google Voice is going to have a bad effect on In-Network calling becase all calls in and out using a Google Voice number are free. Here is a great review of it by another tech blogger I frequent regularly who has received an invite: http://eugenia.gnomefiles.org/2009/07/10/google-voice-is-really-cool/

Thanks guys! Yeah, I definitely know what you mean with the Big Brother comment. That's kinda what I was alluding to in the 4th paragraph. It's getting a little scary how much they know about us.. Also, idk about the 650 area code. Not really sure how they are assigning numbers.

Nice post! Sometimes I feel like Google is our 'Big Brother'

Is the 650 area code going to identify a google number...?
